Big Tech Credit Default Swaps Surge on Debt Concerns
Credit default swaps (CDS) for major technology companies have increased year-to-date. Oracle's 5-year CDS rose 70 basis points to a record 215 basis points. Broadcom, Meta, Nvidia, Amazon, and Alphabet also experienced increases in their CDS.
This surge in CDS follows approximately $200 billion in corporate bond issuance by Big Tech this year, nearly double the total from 2025. The increased debt may be contributing to higher perceived credit risk among these companies. On Hyperdash, ![]()
