China Discovers Major Copper and Gold Deposit
China has discovered a major copper and gold deposit in Anhui province, with preliminary estimates suggesting over 1 million tons of copper and 200 tons of gold. The Ministry of Natural Resources indicated this find could contain the equivalent of several large copper deposits (each over 500,000 tons) and more than ten large gold deposits (each over 20 tons). The main mineralized body is approximately 1.2 km long and 1.1 km wide.
