Global Gold ETFs See Record Inflows in Q3 2026

Hyperdash NewsCommodities

Global physically-backed gold ETFs recorded their largest quarterly intake ever in Q3 2026, attracting $30.7 billion in inflows. September alone saw $10 billion in new investments, pushing total global gold ETF holdings to a record 4,256 tonnes. Year-to-date, these ETFs have accumulated $38.5 billion in inflows, corresponding to a 226-tonne increase.

These significant inflows occurred despite a challenging environment for gold prices, which fell 8.5% in September to $4,176 per ounce. Rising Treasury yields and a stronger US dollar typically weigh on gold, but investors continued to buy, particularly in North America and Europe. The World Gold Council suggests this sustained demand may reflect concerns over inflation uncertainty, fiscal sustainability, and sovereign bond market risks. The early reaction on Hyperdash:
