Nvidia is reportedly considering lower High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) configurations for its upcoming Rubin Ultra GPU, according to TrendForce. This evaluation began in early Q3 2026. The move is driven by an expected DRAM shortage in 2027 and uncertainties regarding the validation and production yield ramp-up for 12-Hi HBM4e.
