Ukrainian Drones Hit Russia's Largest Oil Refinery

Hyperdash NewsGeopolitics

Ukrainian drones have reportedly struck Russia's largest oil refinery, located in Omsk, Siberia. This attack follows a statement from President Zelenskyy that Siberia is now "within reach" for Ukrainian forces. The incident could disrupt Russia's oil supply.

This latest strike comes after months of Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, with over 50 reported incidents on refineries, depots, and terminals since March. Gasoline production in Russia has fallen 17% to 850,000 barrels a day from 1.03 million a year ago, and about a third of Russia's oil refining capacity is estimated to be offline.
